Nota d'usoL'espressione avere sete corrisponde all'inglese “to be thirsty” che significa, letteralmente, essere assetato: Ho tantissima sete, I am terribly thirsty (non I have so much thirst). Esistono espressioni figurate meno frequenti in cui la parola “thirst” viene usata con il verbo “to have”: avere sete di conoscenza, to have a thirst for knowledge. -
